Experience the World with Georgia Hardy Tours

Experience Normandy, Paris & Nice

July 2 to July 28, 2010

France’s fascinating heritage is rich in culture, history, fashion and gastronomy. This is your chance to discover France’s contagious joie de vivre!

Normandy, the beautiful Northern coastal region of France, is defined by its rich military history, both from the Middle Ages and the famous battles of WWII. Caen is one of Normandy’s principal cities and a perfect location to explore all that Normandy has to offer. Of particular resonance with Canadians is Dieppe, a small coastal town, and site of one of the bloodiest battles fought by allied forces prior to the D-Day landings. Honour our heritage by visiting Juno Beach and the Canadian and American cemeteries at Courseulles-sur-mer.

Due to its remarkable beauty and eventful history, Paris is the number one tourist destination in the world, and no visit to France is complete without visiting the landmarks of this great capital. Districts such as Montmartre and the Left Bank have inspired famous musicians and artists for centuries. Seize the opportunity to tour the Palace of Versailles, which will astonish and amaze due to the sheer opulence of the long-lost French monarchy. Our time in Paris will provide students with an understanding of this great country’s contribution to art, entertainment, media, fashion and cuisine.

Nice is the capital of the French Riviera and the remainder of the trip will be spent exploring the beautiful Côte d’Azur. A favourite holiday destination for centuries, royalty and film stars have been lured to the Riviera by the mountainous coastline, palm trees, and picturesque Mediterranean beaches. Reside in a beautiful first-class hotel with a panoramic pool, located steps from the Old Town. Afternoon excursions will include Antibes, Villefranche and Cannes.
