Georgia Hardy certainly did. Born in Budapest, Hungary, Georgia lived in Austria and Venezuela before coming to Canada. With an overriding passion for travel, Georgia spent eight years at Butterfield & Robinson, ultimately managing the student travel division. In 1982, Georgia founded Georgia Hardy Tours as a specialty niche travel company servicing schools and educational institutions.

In 1992, her son George Hardy became Managing Director and has built a strong team of travel loving enthusiasts to service GHT's clients.

Today, GHT still has a wide array of educational travel clients, but has grown significantly to include a division dedicated to creating unique journeys for small adult and family groups with like-minded interests.
