Journey to Kenya and work at Mully Children’s Family, one of Kenya’s largest and best-run orphanages for abandoned and abused children. MCF is a unique organization devoted to the care and education of street children and consists of three residential home communities, a medical clinic and four outreach programs. Many opportunities exist for build and ecological sustainability projects while providing hands-on support in classrooms. After spending 5- 7 days at MCF, experience the ultimate safari in the Masai Mara and/or Serengeti Wildlife Preserves. Finish your trip in exotic Mombassa, where fabulous palm-lined beaches meet the warm Indian Ocean. Check out the video below for a taste of what a trip to MCF and Africa can be like!
Venture to the ancient heart of South America! Clinging to the Andes between the coastal desert and the lush Amazon rainforest, Peru offers an incomparable opportunity to experience prehistoric sites, shop the markets in bustling cities and savour sublime native cuisine. And the best part is three distinct volunteer projects in Lima, the Sacred Valley and Cusco! Trip highlights will be helping with orphaned children in the country’s capital and working with indigenous children in remote communities facing significant socioeconomic threats. Finally, explore Macchu Picchu, the epic mountain citadel famously known as the “Lost City of the Incas”.
Travel to Ecuador and work with indigenous tribes along the banks of the mighty Amazon River. Fly to Quito, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that sits astride the Equator, before embarking on a true adventure in the heart of the Amazon basin. While staying at a resort on the banks of the river, assist daily in local ecology projects and teach English to indigenous children. And no trip to Ecuador would be complete without a visit to the Galapagos Islands, where for 2-3 days you can see the flora and fauna that so inspired Charles Darwin.
New Orleans & Louisiana
Famous for its unique southern creole and cajun culture, New Orleans is also still struggling to recover from 2005’s devastating hurricane Katrina.
